We are in Bad Vilbel, a small city right next to Frankfurt to visit Skull Tattoo, a collective currently made up of six artists coordinated by Fabian who opened the shop ten years ago together with Jorge, founding a hub of Realism where they specialise in cover ups and where there’s a major focus on the black of Maori and Polynesian tattoo.
After 10 years they moved to a new location which is larger, brighter, more spacious and comfortable, 300 square metres of space for the artists to express their creative flair.
We’re really proud of our new space! It is a very special place. Very welcoming, bright, warm, professional, built for the needs of the artists and clients. For optimum illumination we hired a lighting technician. The work spaces, furniture and front desk were built by a German carpenter. It was all designed professionally in order to ensure maximum comfort and work efficiency for our team and clients.
We have a collective of 6 permanent artists and 4 guest artists – says Fabian in our visit with him to the space. Everyone has his own style and signature. All are interacting, improving and benefit from each other in the day to day routine. They are from all over the world: Russia, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Colombia, Venezuela, Poland. It is a colourful bunch of artists bundling their skills, culture, knowledge in one place.
Our main focus is on realistic pieces but we are specialized in cover ups. Our team members Mihail @mihail_kogut or Vladislav @vladollla cover old unloved tattoos in a truly great way. Of course, both doing amazing realistic pieces such as lots of portraits. Andrey @vinokurovtattoo and Sebastian @sebasmarquez19 are also a part of our team of permanent artists and do amazing realistic tattoos as well as graphic style or line art tattoos. Sharp and precise execution is their strong point.
Leon @edleontattoo is our animal lover and does realistic style tattoos. For Maori and Polynesian style, we have our specialist Jorge @maori_germany. All his tattoos are done free hand to adapt to the anatomy of the client’s body.
For the team it is very important that we have a warm and positive atmosphere in the studio. We are an outstanding collective of amazing artists who always work most responsibly always offer and get the best from the ideas clients bring us. We like open minded customers who let the artists free their mind!
