The power of fine line in the Chicano Tattoo style

Women, religious imagery with praying hands, crucifixes and Madonnas against dramatic backgrounds, compositions like prayer cards embellished with commemorative lettering.

Women with a gaze that is melancholy and sweet but at the same time proud of its seductive allure.

And that fine line between life lived on the margins of death, somewhere between a challenge and submission to destiny, fate, often expressed with playing cards, with the suit of spades and the mask of the clown.

This is the language spoken in the Chicano style which takes shape in the fine line of Black and Grey, soft shading and lettering which are the hallmark of its graphic power.
