Slovakian by birth and a great traveller as tattoo guest in Spain, Holland and Germany, Furucz has a great passion for colourful subjects, cartoons and comics, and for the realistic style which allows him to deeply immerse in the detail. He works in different studios and every new opportunity is a chance to encounter new ideas and inspirations.
Hi Misi would you like to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hello! I’m Furucz Misi from Slovakia. For over a decade, I’ve been bringing colour to people’s skin, and I still do it with as much enthusiasm as on the first day.
Where do you live and work at the moment?
Currently, I live and occasionally work in Komárno, Slovakia. I love variety, so I often travel and work as a guest tattoo artist in various studios. You can most frequently find me in Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Do you have a private studio or do you work with someone else?
I have a small private place at home in Komárno, where I work with my wife when we are not abroad. However, I spend most of my time in Germany, where I regularly tattoo in two studios. In Spain, I work at the Family Art Tattoo studio, where I have the opportunity to work and draw inspiration from truly excellent artists. In the Netherlands, I work at the Dogstar Tattoo studio, which has a very family-like atmosphere, and I always enjoy returning there.
What are the steps in your work that led you to become a professional tattoo artist?
I’ve participated in numerous seminars and workshops to enhance my knowledge. I try to devote as much time as possible to my creativity, although I admit sometimes laziness gets the better of me for a few days. That’s why I work in multiple studios, to constantly encounter new ideas and inspirations that aid in my development.
I believe that staying in one place for too long can stifle a person’s creativity and knowledge.
You are specialized in colour tattoos and the Realistic style is often present in your portfolio. Why this style in particular?
I adore colorful tattoos, and I’m particularly drawn to the realistic style because it allows me to deeply immerse myself in the details.
Are there some themes or subjects that you like more than others? It seems you like cartoons and fanny stuff, is it correct?
Indeed, cartoons and humorous themes are particularly close to my heart. I love incorporating fun and playfulness into my art because I believe every tattoo should bring joy to the person who wears it. Cheerful and witty designs often remind us not to take life too seriously, and these tattoos act as reminders of that as well.
What is the most difficult thing to consider in your style?
For me, the biggest challenge is designing unique patterns. I dedicate most of my time to this. I always aim to create pieces that capture people’s attention and can even win awards at competitions. With every tattoo, my goal is to bring something new and noteworthy into existence that stands out from the crowd.
Do you have any particular project for your future you want to share with us?
Among my plans is to conquer America! I would like to move there and participate in every possible competition to win awards. I want to work in as many studios as possible to learn more new things from the best tattoo artists. With this extensive experience and knowledge, I plan to create tattoos for my future clients, ensuring the highest quality and satisfaction for them.”
