In occasion of the World Animal Day of October 4, SeaShepherd launch Extinct Ink: Human skin as a media canvas and tattoos as a message in order to start a conversation and serve as a reminder for extinct marine animals.
“In our continued effort to preserve all marine life, we want to remind everyone of what extinction costs by getting under people’s skin – literally. In partnership with FF Creative we are introducing #ExtinctInk, a project that uses human skin as a media canvas and tattoos as a message in order to start a conversation and serve as a reminder for extinct marine animals.
It is a lifelong statement and opportunity to raise awareness with everyone we meet throughout our lives about the necessity of protecting marine animals. You can show and share your skin tribute with SeaShepherd using: #ExtinctInk
Sea Shepherd Tattoo has been set up by Sea Shepherd Global’s Artistic Director and tattoo artist Geert Vons as a unique way to raise awareness as well as funds to keep the Sea Shepherd ships at sea, doing their job saving marine wildlife.
In 2018 Sea Shepherd opened the Sea Shepherd Tattoo studio in Amsterdam, where guest artists from around the world tattoo for the good cause.
All profits go towards protecting our oceans to preserve them for generations to come.
