The highly anticipated ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’ will be released on 16 August on Dirty Hit label while the single ‘Take a bite’ is already on the air.
Beabadoobee will be playing new music on some of the UK’s biggest stages during this 2024 summer, headlining the New Music stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, the Radio 1 stage in Reading and Leeds and as Mitski’s opening artist at All Points East London festival.
Her third album ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’ will be out next August 16th and is a journey through trust and introspection, with themes of self-acceptance and personal growth, partly a love letter to herself and everything she’s been through.
You can watch the first single/videoclip ‘Take a bite’ here below:
In ‘This is How Tomorrow Moves’, Beabadoobee manages to take the reins of this new phase of his life. «I love this album,» she says simply, «I feel like it’s helped me more than anything else to navigate this new era, to understand where I am. I think it’s about becoming a woman.»
«I think I’m more aware of my actions in these songs,» adds Beabadoobee, «In my previous records I always sang about my reaction to other people’s actions, like a blame game. In this album, however, I accept that there is also my inevitable fault. Whether it’s childhood trauma or relationship problems, in everything it takes two to tango.»
Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Beatrice Laus, known as Beabadoobee, has become an icon of British indie with two acclaimed solo albums and five different EPs.
Her highly anticipated debut album, ‘Fake It Flowers’, released in 2020, received widespread critical acclaim and debuted in the UK top 10. The follow-up album is 2022’s ‘Beatopia’, a fantastical yet deeply personal journey that debuted in the top 5 in the UK, accompanied by sold-out tours around the world.
Beabadoobee recently supported Taylor Swift on the North American dates of her ‘Eras Tour’ as well as performing at major festivals such as Coachella and Glastonbury.
